The class built bridges with paper and tape, and tested their strength with pennies. The strongest one held 69 pennies! 💪🌟

🚢District 5th graders embarked on an incredible journey today, exploring the USS LST 325, a WWII landing ship, docked at the Hannibal Riverfront.
This historic vessel played a vital role in history. Huge thanks to our veterans, and it's an honor to have this piece of history visiting Hannibal! 🇺🇸

Last week, the class took on a challenging project: assembling new playground equipment for the Parent Pay Program. 🔨

🌟HHS: French 4 students took an immersive field trip to the cave of Lascaux of France! 🎨
Although we didn't physically travel to France, students embarked on a thrilling simulation where they explored the wonders of Lascaux cave.
Students have been learning about prehistoric France and wanted to witness the amazing cave art. Inside the 'cave' students read a play about the accidental discovery of the cave by four teenagers in September of 1940. 📚🏴☠️

💻 Students in Ms. Jeffries 5th grade class got to show their skills with google slides as they made presentations about their table mates in this fun get to know you activity!
They asked each other creative questions, helped each other to format and design each slide, then planned and presented as a group to the entire class. 🎉
Ms. Jeffries added, "The knowledge and confidence with technology they are coming into the classroom with is a testament to the teachers hard work and diligence in the grade levels below! "

Today the Hannibal Area Ceo class got to learn from Allie Bennet, the Manager of Economic Development and Member Services at Northeast Power!
⭐Allie shared her valuable insights and experiences, showing students the importance of communicating effectively and working collaboratively. She did a great job explaining how crucial these skills are not only to succeed academically, but also in their future careers and personal relationships. ⭐
Huge shoutout to Allie Bennet and Northeast Power for investing their time and expertise in our students' growth and education. 👏🙌
➕✍ At Mark Twain Elementary School, Mr. Overfield's 4th grade students picked numbers from their life (age, # of pets, address, etc.) And then came up math problems that equaled their numbers to quiz their classmates. 📝
This was a fun way to brush up on math skills and get to know each other a little more! Mr. Over field added, 📢 "shoutout Mrs. Bradshaw for this fun idea!"
