June 26, 2024 - Hannibal Public Schools is honored to share that Ashlie Hirtzel, a first-grade teacher at Mark Twain Elementary School, has been named the Northeast Regional Missouri Teacher of the Year! This honor was awarded on June 25th, 2024, in Kirksville, MO, where she was recognized along with nine other outstanding teachers from the region.
Ashlie has been a part of the Hannibal Public Schools family for six years, and her dedication to our students' growth and success is truly inspiring. She will now move on to the next level in the selection process to be considered for the Missouri State Teacher of the Year.
We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Hirtzel and the positive impact she makes every day at Mark Twain Elementary. Her passion for teaching and commitment to her students shine brightly, and we are lucky to have her on our team.
