HANNIBAL, MO – Hannibal Public Schools extends heartfelt "THANK YOU" to our community for the passage of Proposition Innovation with 68.6% in favor; the ballot measure needed 57% for successful passage. This $30 million no-tax increase bond measure marks a significant step towards driving innovation and enhancing educational opportunities in Northeast Missouri.
We are #HannibalProud of our community's continuous support. Together we carry out the mission of HPS: To serve our community by helping our students thrive. Thank you for believing in and contributing to a brighter future for our community.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to again thank our state and federal legislators, including Representative Louis Riggs and Congressman Sam Graves for their ongoing support. Their combined contributions of $7.4 million towards purchasing 4417 McMasters Ave and the development of the Innovation Campus have been pivotal in furthering our goal of leveraging education and the potential of our youth for addressing regional workforce needs.
The goals of Proposition Innovation, including driving innovation, providing opportunities for students in fine arts and athletics, and protecting the community's investment in our facilities, remain a priority and work will begin immediately. We’re looking forward to sharing updates on the progress of the projects made possible through Proposition Innovation and continuing the legacy of excellence in Hannibal Public Schools.
